Dear reader, this is the continuation of the article as titled above. Romans 4 vs. 18 - 24. Please look at previous articles for the content of the bible passage.
I want to looked at Romans 4 vs. 18 - 21 again today and remind us of what Abraham did.
" Who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, " So shall your descendants be ." And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead ( since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform."
We can see that the position that Abraham took of having hope contrary to hope was what showed that his faith was alive and that he had trust and believe in what God had promised him. Not considering the deadness of Sarah's womb and his own body which the bible says was already DEAD.
And we know from Genesis 21 vs. 1 - 3 " And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did for Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. And Abraham called the name of his son who was born to him - whom Sarah bore to him - Isaac.
My questions to you are these, When you read the Word of God (THE BIBLE) and all the promises He has made to all His sons and daughters, do you believe God or not? Are you willing to wait for Him till he meets you and answers that need irrespective of how long you have to wait? Do you believe that God is more than able to do what you are believing Him to do for you based on His word?
If all your answers are YES, praise God and keep your hope alive by having hope contrary to hope knowing that THE ALMIGHTYGOD CAN DO ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING FOR YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS.
And if NO to any of the questions above, I would want you to please reconsider and be like Abraham who had hope contrary to hope despite his position and that of his wife Sarah.
