Moving on now from the New Testament to the Old Testament of the Bible, we would now be looking at Bible verses in the Old Testament with the word " HOPE ".

1. Ruth 1 vs. 12 " Turn back, my daughters, go- for l am too old to have a husband. If l should say l have hope, if l should have a husband tonight and should also bear sons,"

2. 1 Chronicles 29 vs. 15 " For we are aliens and pilgrims before You, As were all our fathers; Our days on earth are a shadow, And without hope."

3. Ezra 10 vs. 2 " And Shechaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, spoke up and said to Ezra, ' We have trespassed against our God, and have taken pagan wives from the peoples of the land; yet now there is hope in Israel in spite of this."

4. Esther 9 vs. 1 " Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month of Adar, on the thirteenth day, the time came for the king's command and his decree to be executed. On the day that the enemies of the Jews had hoped to overpower them, the opposite occurred, in that the Jews themselves overpowered those who hated them."

5. Job 4 vs. 6 " Is not your reverence your confidence? And the integrity of your ways your hope?

6. Job 5 vs. 16 " So the poor have hope, And injustice shuts her mouth."

7. Job 6 vs. 11 " What strength do l have, that l should hope? And what is my end, that l should prolong my life?"

8. Job 6 vs. 19 " The caravans of Tema look, The travelers of Sheba hope for them."

9. Job 7 vs. 6 " My days are swifter than a Weaver's shuttle, And are spent without hope."

10. Job 8 vs. 13 " So are the paths of all who forget God; And the hope of the hypocrite shall perish,"

11. Job 11 vs. 18 " And you would be secure, because there is hope; Yes you would dig around you, and take your rest in safety."

12. Job 11 vs. 20 " But the eyes of the wicked will fail, And they shall not escape, And their hope- loss of life!"

13. Job 14 vs. 7 " For there is hope for a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease."

14. Job 14 vs. 19 " As water wears away stones, And as torrents wash away the soil of the earth; So You destroy the hope of man."

15. Job 17 vs. 15 " Where then is my hope? As for my hope, who can see it?"

16. Job 19 vs. 10 " He breaks me down on every side, And l am gone; My hope He has uprooted like a tree."
