God's Unfailing Mercies to Us
Dear Reader, Greetings of Love and Peace to you in the name of Jesus.
It's always a pleasure writing to you what the Almighty God has placed in my heart to you.
I will be writing to us on " GOD'S UNFAILING MERCIES TO US ". Our LORD GOD is a merciful God to us His children. This is one of the reasons he sent His only begotten son - Jesus to die for our sins so that we can be reconciled back to Him.
The word mercy means compassion or forgiveness shown towards someone who is meant to be punished for wrong doing. Mercy puts us in a place where God doesn't give us the punishment we deserve.
The word mercy is from the Hebrew word " CHESED " which means kindness, good deed, kindly, goodness, lovingkindness, and pity.
The word " Mercy " appears in the Bible 275 times in the New King James Version " NKJV ". It appears 221 times in the Old Testament and 54 times in the New.
We would go through all these scriptures by God's grace so that we can apply them to ourselves and really know that Our God is a merciful God to us His children. We say Godis merciful because He is full of mercy.
I pray for you and me that God's mercy will never depart from us in the name of Jesus - Amen.
Genesis 19 vs. 19 " Indeed now, your servant has found favour in your sight, and you have increased your mercy which you have shown me by saving my life; but I cannot escape to the mountains, lest some evil overtake me and I die".
