HAVE HOPE CONTRARY TO HOPE.
Dear Reader,
I bring you warm greetings of Love and Peace in the name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
As we are approaching the end of the 2019 and we look back to how the year has moved through very quickly and despite we might still have on or two things we are believing God to do for us, we have every reason to give God thanks and praise that we are still alive and sound in the land of the living and that our hopes in Him are still alive because we are still in the land of the living.
Romans 4 vs 16 - 22 " Therefore it is of faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the law, but also to those who are of faith of Abraham, who is the father of us all ( as it is written, " l have made you a father of many nations") in the presence of Him who he believed - God, who gives life to the dead and calls those things which do not exist as though they did; who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, " So shall your descendants be."
And not being weak in faith, he did not consider his own body, already dead ( since he was about a hundred years old), and the deadness of Sarah's womb. He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore it was accounted to him for righteousness."
In verse 18 of the scriptures above we can see the title of this article and how HOPE is linked to Faith.
What does the word hope mean in simple terms? It means having the believe or expectation that with the help of the Almighty God, what you wish for will happen in the name of Jesus. Your wish must be based on God's Word.
Faith can be simply defined as - knowing God's Word and acting on it.
This is why it is not possible to have faith in God without any form of action. I can say that hope in God will lead us to taking a step of faith in God - this is the link.
Since hope is about believe and expectation which will lead to some actions which is faith.
It is a dangerous thing for a person that is in Jesus to have no hope in life. A person who has no hope is no different from someone that is dead
