Serve the Lord, Part 1

Dear Reader, I bring you greetings in the name of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. I want to encourage every believer in the Lord that we should serve and continue to serve the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY.

The wordings “ Serve The LORD” appears in the New King James Bible 28 times.

Let me mention two popular verses of scripture in this respect.

But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.Joshua 24:15

So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you. No one shall suffer miscarriage or be barren in your land; I will fulfil the number of your days.Exodus 23:25-26

What does it mean to serve? – it means to act as a servant, be a waiter at a table or door as the case maybe, be of help, assistance, to be of use, be suitable, be of purpose and so on.

As it concerns God it will include surrendering to His will and purpose for your life as a believer and follower of The Almighty God.

Serving God actually does not start at Church as a lot of us might think but it begins with you first living a life of Obedience to Him then you can be of service to Him.

Start by Obeying what the Bible says after you have read it, then you can move on to being useful to members of your immediate family ( especially your Parents) that you live in the same house with, then your neighbourhood, your school or place of work, extended family, Church, state and then your Country as a whole.

I want you to think of how you can begin to serve God at a lower level first before jumping to a higher level. God wants us to serve Him at all levels of life and society because these actions will lead people to Him.

Remember what Jesus said to us in Matthew 25 vs. 31 – 46.

To be continued in Part 2.

GOD BLESS YOU REAL GOOD !!!!!!!.
